Gummy Smile?
A gummy smile, or in dental terms excessive gingival display, is a condition in which an excessive amount of gum tissue is visible when a person smiles. This can make the teeth appear shorter than they actually are, and can detract from the overall appearance of the smile.
Gummy smiles can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, certain medications, and an overactive muscle that controls the upper lip. If you’re not happy with your smile, there are several ways we can help:
